I advised someone working on a W124 M103 that the head bolt tightening scheme is 70Nm, 90-deg, 90-deg as is noted in the W126 CD manual. An alert member noted that the spec is 55Nm, 90-deg, 90-deg in the W124 CD manual. Nothing in the W124 CD manual to suggest a different tightening scheme starting in MY88 when the 300SE/L was offered in the US. Why the difference?
