I inherited a 95 c220, but since I inherited it, I dont know much about the history.

The previous owner parked the car about a year ago because it wouldnt start.

When I turn the key to the ON position, the dash wakes up (typical lights light up).

When I turn the key to crank it, nothing changes. It doesnt crank, the dash ights stay on(dont dim). I had a friend watch the headlights and they come on, but dont dim when i try to crank it.

It acts like the signal is not getting to the starter. (I havent tried to put 12 v directly to the starter.) But it acts like a fuse or something like that. I checked the fuses in the fuse box, but they all are OK.

Can anyone give me any advise on where I can start???
Is this a common problem??
