A friend of mine was late for work one day. In my line of work this is something that is just not done because one monkey can stop the show. And this guy was one of those monkeys.

When he finally got there he said his wife had been murdered and he was working with the police.

A few days later they told him he was their chief suspect and to get a good lawyer.

The Producer called his law firm and they flew in someone from legal land who finally convinced the cops the guy could not have done it.

But the cops needed to hang someone and this guy was handy. Anyway, they let him go. The case is still unsolved after twenty seven years.
