Besides the compressor itself, a few other parts will be needed for this to work. Chiefly the compressor bracket, which is huge and wraps around the whole front passenger corner of the engine. I also scored the OM617 non-turbo thermostat housing and lower radiator hose, which fit with the large bracket. I had to remove one of the rigid AC lines on the RHS of the block near the turbo drain, which was in the way. The federal air cleaner housing and hoses are VERY in the way, but with the 1985 California air filter, this might just be possible.




The most serious and unresolved clashes are between the turbo itself (mine has the pesky ARV compressor housing) and the EGR port on the exhaust manifold. I'm now in the market for a non-EGR turbo and manifolds, please PM me if you have a set lying around.






For now, this project is on hold while I focus on other parts of this car, and on my other large car project.
