IMO, rap itself is not necessarily annoying but the message in many rap songs is disturbing. Blondie's Rapture didn't make sense but it was entertaining. The Sugar Hill Gang's Rapper's Delight was another fun song. I spent hours with my ear to the radio tyring to learn the lyrics. MC Hammer was entertaining until all his songs started soundig the same. Even Will Smith's songs are worth listening to. He has a song about summer that came out maybe 10 years ago and the last thing it is is annoying. Then gangs became the core theme and it went downhill as far as a form of entertainment. There probably is a legitimate message, but who's going to listen?

Is this related to spinners? I can't imagine someone in a car with spinners litstening to anything but rap.
