Interesting that you should mention "jail". Awhile back I was speaking with a friend of mine who interestingly enough, lives in Southern California. He shared with me that when someone is arrested in So. Cal, one of two things happen:
1. If the man or woman arrested has a job and needs to be at work monday morning at 8:00 AM, they post bond to get out of jail so they can be at work on monday morning.
2. If the man or woman arrested does NOT have a job, they generally go ahead and take advantage of the three hots and a cot offered to them by the jail. They might rot in jail for a year or two until their case comes to trial.
So, who do you think is paying for all this free housing and free food?
