If you work on your own car these are very very nice to own. They pay for themselves pretty quickly.

I would also suggest going to a local shop and asking them to run diagnostics. Most shops in the US will do this for free or a small fee. I would start here because if there's a bad flap actuator, you're going to need to open up the dash and you don't want to do that twice.
