Thanks Jim. I checked the compressor first thing after it spit the belt. Checked everything to make sure it’s tight and smooth. Replaced the idler and tensioner.

Vince, you hit it and i thank you. I didn't know or think about the pin. I don't wrench much any more, at least on cars. The last tensioner i replaced was more than twenty years ago on my 300E. I got to the hangar this morning and snaked the belt in place, levered it over, pulled out the pin and all is well. I have even driven it over a hundred miles today with no problem.

The technical side of this forum continues to be incredibly awesome. Thanks guys!
