Thanks for the advice. I've not run the MB over this long weekend and am going to get it in to my MB shop in the morning to have them check the oil pressure.

Hope its only the sender although from my MB service CDRom it seem that changing out the oil pump is not THAT complicated a deal. Am I right about this? Can the oil pump be changed out by the average handy mechanically inclined owner?
