Hi:

Something that has been bothering since I bought my S500 (1999, yes, 25 years ago!).

On the driver side rear lamp assembly, there is a bulb (in blue socket) that doesn't seem to do anything, and this same socket is totally missing in the passenger side.

Does anyone know what this bulb is for, and should it, or shouldn't it be there?
