Well, no luck. Now it runs worse
EGR tube was clear. EGR valve holds vacuum.
It was barely attached to the intake before, with one bolt missing.
Pulled PCV hose off and cleaned the orifice in the intake. Hope I got the right one. It's about a short 3/4" hose from the head to under the base of the throttle body.
Found another Vacuum hose that was off of the throttle body.
New boot. Original had a small cut around the clamp. New valve cover grommets for the intake tube.
I don't understand how it ran as good as it did except for the idle surge. It didn't act like a vacuum leak.
Now it idles about 1500rpm with no surge but backfires and stumble when giving it any gas. Now it acts like a vacuum leak.
Another problem I found is the throttle cable plastic adjusting end is broke where it goes into the bracket. It seams OK under tension, but there is a lot of play before throttle lever moves.
My throttle body harness insulation is deteriorated. I wonder if i made it worse by moving it. I figured I try all the other stuff first to rule that out
The main engine harness has been replaced
Please, any thoughts?
Thanks!
