Life is rough for a Mercedes-Benz hood ornament in the big city. When I got my car, the star was snapped off cleanly. But, for $22.00 from Trans-Atlantic Motors (my local MB dealership) I don’t know if it’s just me, but isn’t life more beautiful having that silver star leading you down the road?

Removing the old hood ornament was easy, once my dad bent it, and broke it into pieces so what was left would come out of the hole! Putting the new one halfway-in was real easy, but it was getting it back out and getting it all the way in correctly that took longer than the 3-easy steps in the manual! The star sure does look nice and shiny with that heavy chrome.

Do all MB parts come with cool Mercedes-Benz holograph seals on the box?
