That’s a mistake easily made! I’ve only just learned that that motor (the 602) came in that car a few years, ’87 for sure (and maybe ’88 and ’89?)

Interestingly, I thought my car came with a 4-cylinder before I bought it. (There isn’t a 2.5 badge on the car! ) After looking under the hood, we counted five injectors (and a turbo) and we were smiling!

I think that motor came in the W124 cars after 1987, and maybe in the W140 cars somewhere in the early ‘90s, so I think of myself as a lot of power in a lightweight chassis!
