70A is sufficient for any vintage Diesel. The two eared mount can be adapted to a one-lug bracket with a long bolt and a couple of spacers cut out of common pipe. The "L" terminal is the equivalent of a "D" terminal, the "S" terminal needn't be used. So the only unknown is whether there's enough backspace for the pump.
