It might sound crazy, but I believe my brother in law had the best advice. Think of the car with the best drivers seat, or at least one you really enjoyed. Head to a junkyard and pull the passenger seat without much wear. A simple frame can be fabricated out of steel angle from a hardware store. I welded mine but bolting is an option.
I have a w124 seat as my daily "driver" for my home office, a w126 for my personal computer desk and one of my sons has an Audi A4 for his computer desk. My brother in law is partial to Infinity Q seats.
And it's a bit fun to hook them up with a small battery or inverter. It's hilarious to demonstrate your electronic adjustments for the backrest, lumbar support, headrest and heated seat.
