I don't have experience with this but have a W210 so did some digging...

The most common denominator seems to be dampness in the lower control panel (LCP) which i believe is the panel that holds the window switches...spilled anything recently in that area?

Try pulling fuse #3, it should be a 7.5 amp and the problem should stop.
