Those cars might be fun to drive if you had a deserted airport to play around on. They strike me as in the Dodge Viper category. Too much torque and horsepower to be fun.
I have an odd dream car lately. I want to get a Factory Five Daytona kit, they call it the Type 65 Coupe, and somehow put a tricked out BMW M20 6 cylinder into it. There are plenty of stronger engines available. But I gather with the M20 you can get about 200-225 HP, NA and have a really reliable engine. The M20 is sort of known as being bulletproof.
The 168 stock horsepower M20 pushed my 325i car around just fine. The type 65 would weigh 400 to 500 pounds less than those cars and about 200 to 300 pounds less than if it were powered by a large Ford.
