There is supposed to be a way to change the turbo oil drain grommet without removing the turbo if you have the lower oil pan off. It has to do with removing the lower half of the drain tube downwards. This allows you to replace the two o-rings, one at the half-joint in the drain tube, and one at the rubber grommet. You can also replace the grommet which tends to decay with time.
So, check out your turbo oil drain tube for leaks, and the general condition of the rubber grommet where the tube goes into the block flange for the oil pan.
