I would drop by Mars if I was in the neighborhood
Do You Think some of the 250 Mercedes Sedans with the 280 Motors in them have
a Vacuum Advance Type Distributor ? ( as well as the internal Mechanical advance )
that would most likely fit my 1972 280 ( 2.8) sedan > ?
****************************************************************
Of course my 1972 280 2.8 has a Transistor type with Switchgear Distributor and that's what I want to ditch < get rid of > as they are junk as I see it with the Vacuum Retard / Also because my unloved 72 trans Switchgear Distributor will not advance at Hi RPM past about 25 degrees set at Idle at 8 Degrees BTDC and this is with the Vacuum disconnected totally and plugged
Distributor >so the least costly way to swap it out for a Vacuum Advance ( also with internal mechanical advance ) type 280 Distributor perhaps with just points or electronic as long as its not the " Transistor type with Switchgear " < does anyone Evan know what years " badged 250 " had the 280 motor with vacuum advance ? I expect they may be an electronic type Ing Distribution not sure
