My 85 had some slip joint pliers on top of that. Hazet brand. They have old pairs for sale online.

ETA it’s Hapwe not Hazet. Here is the kit for my 85. It’s funny that all of my old diesels were missing the kit or it was missing everything but the lug wrench. It’s like the POs took the tools to fix their bicycle or put in their kitchen drawer. The tools kind of suck and I’m shocked at the prices people want for them online. I mean they’re good for a car’s OEM kit but they are pretty junky. A cut above a Honda motorcycle kit but still cheap. They rust too. My 97 C280 has a complete set with channel lock pliers.

Wrenches are made by Heyco and Matador. They are also stamped Mercedes Benz. 8,10,11,13,14,17,17,19. Why two 17s…there must be something where you back up two 17s up on each other. Anyone know?
