It is not that bad of a job. This will be the second time I've been in it. Unfortunately the first time around I must have damaged the seal on the output shaft to the front diff. I even noted that watching the youtube video where the guy had to do it a second time too because of damaging the seal.

There is a $27 bolt that gets replaced whenever the transfer case is taken apart. MN p/n is 000000-008248.

You will get about ~600 mL of tranny fluid out of the transfer case. There is a fill plug to use to refill it after buttoning everything up. I did this before putting the tranny mount back in (while rear of tranny was low).
