You ought to be able to fit the same size tire on no problem (little less sidewall since it'l have a 0.5in wider wheel). I'd be concerned about that offset though. It will stick out farther and could rub on the fender.
Although not a 124, the 201 w/ Cosworth 4-valve head was equipped with 15x7 ET 44 wheels and 205/55 VR Pirelli P6s. The diameter and tire width would be suitable, but as tbo noted the ET (offset) may cause interference.
