In my opinion, it is never good to run from the po-po unless, of course, you have a supercharged dodge charger or triple horsepower corvette whose brakes, steering and drive train are in very good operating condition. You will need to know every inch of the roads you are traveling and have a CB radio to get updates. Even then, they can send up helicopters and put stop sticks out on the road to shred your tires......

For us regular people, best to pull over and listen to what officer friendly has to say. Be polite and if he wants to write a ticket, take the ticket and tell the officer "thank you".
