Well, I didn't mean to cause such a ruckus (is that a word?).

The email that started all this was a personal one not a response on this forum. The reason I brought it up was that in another thread someone had mentioned asking a moderator a question privately and having got no response was asking the question publicly.

When I read that I thought of the email I had ignored and the reason for it. I didn't bring this up because I had no idea if that had occurs in that threads case. It just brought it to my mind.

I didn't reply earlier as I didn't want to keep bringing the post to the top.
