If you believe the likes of Hawking's and others, any life form that stumbles upon us will not see us as an ally but as a food or labor source. Thet are more likely to be like the Borg (Star Trek) or Kaylon (Orville). Likely none of us will be around to experience it.

The odds are very strong against any other life form discovering our planet. It's very likely that life forms in our approximate category are extremely rare. Not just rare in physical space but rare in the dimension of time.
We can get an idea of the sweet spot that is the Earth by looking at the other planets: dead rocks.
It could be that life is extremely rare in the universe at any given time. Aside from bacteria anyway. Life on this planet that could've detected radio signals from other planets has only existed for about 0.007% of the estimated total existence span of the Earth.
