Here's the crew: Shadow, Cleopatra and Casper. Shadow was first over a year ago. Then a couple months later we brought Casper home to keep him company. Two more months, we found out Shadow was sick and has only a short time to live, so we bring Cleo in so they can get to know each other while still kittens. You would think all three are from the same litter. They are always together, whether sleeping, playing or grooming each other. Great companions for the whole family. Sadly, Shadow is still sick and won't get better. We give him medications three times each day for a severely enlarged heart. He has already lived longer than our "kitty cardiologist" ever thought, and his checkup last week showed no side-effects from the meds, and no plerual effusion. You would never know he's sick currently. He's also cost a small fortune. Do you know how much it cost to take a cat with labored breathing to an animal hospital and have him admitted to the ICU, spend a few days there, and then have repeated follow-ups with radiography, chem panels, etc.? Let's just say I could have bought any number of nice '70s model MBs. Oh well, as much as I like my MBs, they don't lay on your chest and purr while they sleep.
