While I love Jack Russel Terrier's for their handsome appearance and playful personalities, everything I've read about them tells me they would be a bad choice for an apartment dog, especially if left alone for most of the day.

They are a vary active dog, and need to be kept busy. If left alone, the dog would go crazy, and probably tear up the house.
