We have used the stiffer springs a few times with mixed success. They are not an MB part.

The only time I use them any more is when I know the internal seals and clutch pack clearances are good. In other words I don't use them to patch an old tranny (150k miles or more).

My usual attempts to solve flaring problems involve changing modulator pressure and adjusting control pressure to lower shift points.
