Isn't torque just the product of the rotating mass's moment and its angular velocity?

I'll bet the best torque in a reciprocating gas engine came from those old Dusenburgs with their giant in-line engines and great stroke length. Must have been a hell of a clutch, but that's what the ace up front does while we sit in the back drinking bootlegged scotch....
