HI All,
I have a 2000 ML430 that has a couple of quirks that I wanted to ask about. 53k miles

1. Occassionally when turning into a parking spot the power steering will fail when straightening out. Dealer told me this was normal.

2. Occassionally when turning at low speed there will be a sort of short high pitched shriek and a bit of vibration felt in the steering wheel. Dealer never has tracked this down or heard it.

Is item 1 normal in your experiance and does anyone have an idea regarding number 2?

I had my steering clamp replaced last year when the darn thing blew out driving through town. Would sure have been a nicer situation had they fixed it earlier.
