An interesting conversation about circumcision and clitorectomy that I encountered a while back:
Woman: A foreskin is disgusting, a hygiene nightmare, must be removed.
Man: A clitoris is unnecessary so far as my needs are concerned, it is a mistake of nature, must be removed.
Woman: Absolutely not!
Man: Why do you advocate for removing part of the male genitals but protest so much over the same process for the female? The clitoris adds nothing whatsoever in terms of ability to become pregnant and give birth.
Woman: It is a critical part of my body, an integral part of who I am.
Man: So you are asserting that the foreskin is not regarded in the same way by a male?
Woman: No answer.
Man: One other thing: When the little girl's clitoris is removed (a clitorectomy), no anesthesia will be used. She'll be treated the same as the males: both arms and legs will be strapped to the Circumstraint(TM).
Woman: No response. Seems distraught and enraged at the image.
