Yep, that sounds like carry over from 114/115 series..... before they added headlight warning to the raaazzzzzzberry buzzzzzer.

Actually, unplugging the seat sensor makes more sense than disabling the entire mechanism. Can live with headlight and key warning...... just dont wanna get the bronx cheer when i turn the key.
