You know, 240 dieseldog's right on the money. I have a euro car refitted for epa specs as well.
What he describes is exactly what i'm describing. Device is spliced into cable section by firewall, and connected with tape. What also fits, and now I know it was done aftermanufacture, is that the device itself is some saled into motor with some sort of adhesive patch epoxy stuff. It's definitely the O-2 sensor. And I will fix connection to back cable which became frayed and cover it withbetter tape, etc., etc.
My question: is the O-2 sensor just to give a reading, or does it key-iin anythign else? And what about the hole it ws put into on motor, if the jimmyed-sealant used starts to have some air leak, can this affect anything? Also, from what I understand of original owner's history, he took it first from Germany to California!!!!
