JB Weld or other epoxys will not work, the muffler gets too hot for
them, and they will either melt or burn.

You can get a hi temp muffler cement at any auto parts store, but I have never had good luck with them. They might get you thru inspection but in a month or 2 they will fall off.

Only real fix is a new muffler or to weld steel sheetmetal all the way around the muffler if the ends are still good. I've done this on my 300SEL6.3 mufflers because they are so expensive.
