Likewise, I'm wondering what gears are standard in and available for the '96 and later W-210 chassis.

Got a '99 E-300 Turbodiesel, and it may have the same gears as the E-320 gasser, but don't the E-420/430s have "taller" gear ratios?

Anyone ever try those higher V8 (lower numerically) ratio gears in the diesel for less revs per mile?
