So, are you trying to say that your antenna doesn't go up and down when you press the antenna rocker switch on the dash? If so, the dash rocker switch won't help you if you don't have a radio in it. The switch controls the positon of the antenna only after it has been given the signal from the radio. With no radio (or your radio off) the antenna would stay down regardless of the position of the switch.
