If I understood correctly you swapped the old FD with a better one , which gives full satisfaction.

Are you going to open the old one for fun?

If yes could tell me if it is simple to change the small o-ring gasket on the inner cylinder were you mentionned the leak?
is the central nut on the bottom side easy to dismount / mount back?
