Vronsky- I'm not even going to waste time on you. I believe I successfuly defeated your EVERY argument on about 3 other threads (help me , Tank- was that 3 or 4??).
Chucky - thank you for that neocommunist manifesto. I could take that liberal drivel appart point by point, but I don't have 2 hours, so let me respond to w few radomly chosen ones:
1) the CEOs you so freely mentioned were the biggest donors to Mr. Clinton, and all of the stealing was done in 1999 and 2000- the latest I checked Clinton was the president at that time
2) a survey completed last year showed that, in fact, the poor got much less poor than the rich due to fall of the salaries of the millionaires (ya know, people making over $100,000 per year), UNLIKE under Mr. Clinton ( please read CNN news sometimes- it will do you good). In fact, the decrease in the salaries of the "rich" was so big, that it unexpectedly reduced tax revenues by several $billion$.
3) In case you missed that, since Bush took over, the world had been in global recession. Strangely, US economy grew 3.3% so far this year as compared to an average of 0.4% of France, Germany, and Russia. incidently, my tech-heavy portfolio lost 50% value between march 1999 and march 2000 ( CLINTON as I said before, was then the president)
4) If anybody tried to be elected through the back door, it was Gore- remember, Bush was declared a winner in Florida, and Gore demanded recount. Based on that, Bush was declared a winner- again, so Gore demanded recount, based on this recount, Bush was ahead again, and Gore demanded STATEWIDE recount before this recount was completed, and this time the Supreme Court stepped in. As I said somewhere else, the next step for Gore was to demand that every vote for Bush in Florida was invalid on the basis that Bush was a republican. Maybe THEN Gore would have a chance (in hell).
5) Bush stated, that Saddam was not complying with 14 UN resolutions, was known to have WMDs in 1998 and could not verify what happened to them, SO we could not allow Iraq to become an imminent threat. Stop taking other libs commentaries as facts. next time go to the source.
6) Fox news runs pretty much 50/50 in terms of time allowed to left and right viewpoint on the air. The networks are about 5:1 in favor of liberal viewpoint. that's based on a very unpopular study conducted by- a Democrat.
7) The latest Gallup poll says 62% Iraqis are thankful to the US for getting rid of Saddam Hussein. at the present, according to the military statistics, the rate of military death in Iraq per 1,000 troops is about the same as the rate of military death in the US due to normal accidents. meanwhile, since May, we eliminated approx. 3,200 Iraqi and other muslim extremists. OF course, you'd prefer that these 3,200 were still alive and plan more terror attacts- in the US, right?
8) I prefernwatching Bush in the flight uniform (I hope to look that good at that age after landing on a carrier) than Clinton telling me that he didn't.. or Dean telling me that we all should kiss Chirac's fat ass and make up (why we should do it was never explained).
9) The job of the military is to be put in the harms way if their commander in chief requires it, and 99% of them understands this simple principle, so stop speaking for them.

10) How do you get around?? I bet it has some kind of hydrocarbon fuel in it....

11)Muslim world declared Jihad on the West (including you personally) in 1979- wake up and join the reality.

12) If the entire world means France German and Russia with their own imperialistic goals- you are right- they all told us not to do it (and, I believe Greece and Belgium).

13) UN is right now predominantly anti-US (and really that has been the case ever since I remember, i.e circa mid-70s) so excuse me if I don't give rat's ass what the UN is pulling out of (how many foreign troops went to UN-sanctioned Korean war? right...)

14) the latest I've seen (this week) in Gallup/CNN poll, Mr. Bush has the lowest approval rating of his presidency ( from low to high 50's, depending on a day of a week) which is equal to the HIGHEST approval rating Mr. Clinton achieved in 8 years of HIS presidency, AND these are higher that both Reagan's and Clintons at this time pre-election. Even now, Bush easily beats every Democratic candidate, except the one that does not (officially) run i.e. Hillbilly.
15) The latest I checked, First, Novak divulged a name of a low level CIA operative. This was only an afterthought in an article, questioning why White House sent a completely unqualified person (the said Mr. Wilson) an a fact -finding mission to Nigeria (his wife- the CIA employee, suggested that). Mr. Wilson was one of the biggest donors to Gore campaign and in July, he openly vowed to destroy Bush and his administartion. Moreover, this morning I heard an opinion of a political analyst, that the directive protecting the names of undercover CIA operatives is very clear, diffucult to violate, and that THE LADY MOST LIKELY DID NOT MEET THE CRITERIA of the said directive. Let's wait and see before we start judging (just like the left would like us to do), shall we???
16)Mr. Bush did not alienate over 50% of the voters in this country, which is more than the previous president could do, so please, speak for yourself AND GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU WASTE ANY MORE OF MY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
