For anyone searching old threads here is how it worked out. I went back through again this time I was on the ohmmeter setting 200 vs 200k. Anyone having trouble finding a bad plug might consider trying various meter settings. I sniffed out one more bad plug quickly and replaced it and the blinking problem has gone away.
