Maybe I am crying wolf.

I just called them and they confirmed they are MB OE and are new.

When looking at the bulb, with the screws in the mounting plate facing down, shoudl there be a little weld on the top -- on the side when new? (In addition to the 'nipple' in the very center of the bulb.)

Or shoudl they be perfectly smooth except for the 'nipple'.
