3 weeks ago, I had to tighten the steering column switch assembly.
Everything went fine and I had disconnected the battery.
The SRS light did not come on when I restarted the car, and I had no problems until today -- maybe a coincidence.

What is the likely cause of the malfunction. Do the contacts to the airbag, and in particular the rotating assembly in the steering wheel, go bad?

Is there any way to reset the SRS without going to the dealer or a place that has the Star Diagnostic software?
