They actually changed the way the bumper mounts to the truck when they went to that new style, so I'm going to say that it's not going to work. Maybe someone has tried it though, so we can wait and see if anyone else has any advice for you.
Have you considered painting the bumpers to body color like on the V8 1999's/2000-2001 V6's?
