The car is an 84' 300TD and the make of the turbo is Garrett. I have found an article written on rebuilding turbochargers at:

but this is not specific to the Garrett turbo I own. The two things I am most concerned about are:

1. Balancing the turbo
2. Cleaning out the turbo good enough with common tools.
