When I used the floss and meguires on mine, I didn't have a heat gun like the previous posts discussed, so I warmed the trunk out in the sun for a while, then used my wife's hair dryer on the inside of the trunk behind the badge for about 2-5 minutes - metal was very warm to the touch, but not too hot (didn't want to damage the paint). This really softened the glue and simplified things. Hope this helps.
