I do have idle problems and very bad gas mileage. Although I don't see huge particles, the gas is brown. Not the normal yellowish that you speak of. When I soak it up with a paper towel, it leaves a brown residue on the paper towel.

By the way, the idle problems really happen when the car is warm, over 80C.
