Out of curiosity, why are you lumping 1999 and 2000 E classes together?

1998-1999 are the two years that share the same engine and body.

2000-2002 have the facelifted look, i.e. different hood, bumper, etc. The middle of the model year 2000 E classes also have the updated crankshaft balancer.
