I aplogize. I didn't mean to imply that I'd tried it....just seemed that from the mm-to-in conversion, it seemed as if it should work.

Harbor Fright Tools has a big metric socket set but it doesn't include a 44mm: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=5494

Maybe the 45mm will do the trick?
