got mine out on the wagon with a big pair of channel locks. Yes, it's not an elegant solution, but worked fine and left no marks.

Sure am glad my fuel tank project is over and done with ! I'd be willing to bet a sizeable amount of cold beer that I have the cleanest fuel tank around. You'd be amazed just how bad a diesel tank can be without clogging the filters. The crud just stays stuck to the sides.


Also, I got the drain pulg out with some tool supposedly used for pulling apart shower faucets. "Rented" it from the Home Depot. ;-)
