My father has a set of plus sized sockets made from bent up tube stock.

I dont know who makes them or sells them, but they are basically 26mm and up sizes made of thin tubing pressed into a 6 point socket shape. Instead of using a socket wrench, you insert a screw driver or metal rod through two holes on the top portion of the socket. They work pretty well for big bolts and nuts.

Anyway, the sockets cost about a buck each, supposedly.
