There was a huge outcry from other media, viewers, etc...why should everyone lambast him for speaking what he perceived to be truth? Political correctness has permeated every other aspect of society, why do folks think it hasn't made it into sportscasting as well?

True. So what is wrong with him saying that he thinks the sports media HAS been reporting such things with a bias? Why all the indignation from so many?

ALL of the media--sports media included--have been forced by the likes of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and other "champions of civil rights", into having to be hyper-sensitive to racial issues, even at the expense of true and accurate reporting.
